Steven McCann
Steven McCann is the Founder and Director of MCG Consulting, a pioneering consultancy reshaping how organisations approach mental health, addiction awareness, and workplace inclusion. With over 18 years of experience in the legal sector across the UK and US, Steven is now a leading voice in recovery-informed culture, mentoring, and wellbeing at work. Steven’s work is grounded in lived experience. After building a successful legal career while privately battling addiction, he now helps organisations become places where people do not just survive but thrive. His flagship MCG Addiction Awareness Series is helping firms open up honest conversations, dismantle stigma, and create safer, high-performing cultures rooted in empathy and accountability. He has delivered talks and training for leading law firms, financial institutions, and professional bodies across the UK and Ireland. His work has been published by the Legal Services Board, featured in The Law Gazette, and recognised by LawCare, national Law Societies, wellbeing festivals, industry podcasts, and national radio. He regularly speaks in prisons and at legal conferences, bringing rare depth, credibility, and human insight to every room. Steven sits on the Steering Committee for This Is Me, the Lord Mayor’s Appeal initiative tackling workplace mental health stigma, alongside senior leaders from PwC, KPMG, Aon, UBS, BlackRock, and the Bank of England. He is also Deputy Chair of ReachOut, a national mentoring charity supporting young people aged 11–14 from underrepresented communities. A trusted facilitator and speaker, Steven has chaired senior panels, led senior leader corporate conversations, and hosted high-profile events including a Q&A with Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle. Whether working with executives or early-career professionals, his approach is consistently described as honest, human, and transformative. Steven’s mission is simple: to help every organisation become a place where people feel seen, supported, and able to succeed – and where courageous, compassionate leadership is the norm. Steven's passion for mentoring and collaboration, combined with a deep understanding of corporate culture, drives MCG's mission to provide genuinely effective training for mentors, filling a crucial gap in professional development. Public Speaking A sought-after speaker, Steven has captivated audiences at wellness festivals, corporate events for companies like HSBC, VISA, in prisons and various conferences on mental health and mentoring. His engaging presentations inspire and motivate. Collaboration with Arsène Wenger Steven worked as the Lead Researcher on Arsène Wenger's No.1 Sunday Times Bestseller, “My Life in Red and White,” contributing significantly to the project's success. Community Impact Through his roles at ReachOut and other community initiatives, Steven has made a significant impact on social mobility and professional growth, working extensively to support and uplift underrepresented groups. Curating Film Festival Shows Steven curated a highly acclaimed series of shows at a prestigious film festival, which culminated in hosting an exclusive Q&A session for the iconic movie "Trainspotting" with Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle. This achievement highlights Steven's versatility and his ability to engage and connect with high-profile individuals across diverse fields.

Mona Vadher
Executive Director of Programmes
Mona is a passionate advocate for social equity and youth empowerment, with a career defined by purpose-driven leadership and tangible impact. She is renowned for designing and spearheading transformative programmes that elevate the confidence and employability of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, opening doors to brighter futures. Her expertise spans higher education, the nonprofit sector, government, and financial services, giving her a unique perspective and the ability to foster cross-sector collaborations that amplify social impact. During her tenure at the City of London Corporation, Mona led a government-commissioned project to establish a taskforce focused on enhancing socio-economic diversity at senior levels within UK Financial and Professional Services, setting new standards for inclusive leadership across the sector. As former CEO of LMP Action, a Community Interest Company (CIC), Mona inspired ambition in young people aged 8–16 from disadvantaged backgrounds, launching innovative programmes offering mentorship, skills training, and personal growth opportunities that have profoundly transformed countless lives. Mona’s dedication to social mobility has earned her multiple awards for initiatives within the higher education sector, creating pathways for young people to thrive in professional fields. Beyond her professional work, Mona serves as a trustee at ReachOut, a national mentoring charity, and as a Governor at John Dewey Specialist College, contributing to governance and strategic direction. Her career is a testament to impactful leadership and a relentless pursuit of social justice. Through her work at MCG, Mona continues to drive systemic change, creating a more equitable and inclusive society while enhancing the prospects of individuals and communities alike. In 1998, Ray was appointed as a board member of the UK Anti-Drugs Co-ordination Unit, where he advised on the development and implementation of the Government’s first UK drug strategy. His work in developing the initial wave of criminal justice interventions with HM Prisons and Probation set the foundation for transformative changes in the sector. Ray’s journey began in 1994 when he launched the UK’s first arrest referral scheme in Brighton, a groundbreaking initiative that set the stage for his future achievements. As a key leader at CGL, he was instrumental in growing the organisation from a small team to Europe’s largest provider of drug and alcohol treatment services. A BACP-qualified integrative counsellor with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Ray also serves as a visiting lecturer for the University of Brighton’s Criminology and Substance Misuse Interventions degree course. His extensive knowledge, combined with his passion for making a meaningful impact, makes him an invaluable asset to MCG Consulting. At MCG, Ray works closely with the team to deliver our Workplace Connection: Mutual Aid Recovery programme, drawing on his wealth of experience to foster resilience, reduce stigma, and enhance productivity within workplace cultures.

Ray Jenkins brings over two decades of unparalleled experience in addiction recovery and workforce development to MCG Consulting. As a social entrepreneur and the Chief Executive of Emerging Futures CIC, Ray has played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between primary care treatment providers and the communities they serve. His leadership in establishing high-quality training and consultancy products through Vital Signs has solidified his reputation as a trailblazer in the field.
